We at Power Of Love Productions pushing our new productions with a fresh elan.But first a little WMC 2017 Edition - Report. This year, I have had a chance to attend WMC again after 2 year absence and so to visit the tropical Miami Beach...
I was excited to return to the City where I have relaunched the Label
and also to see my Music Industry peers, some of them I know for over 30
years. What I discovered a bit with nostalgia the Conference has lost
its glitz and in comparison to the past years, the 10 Days of sheer
Music Madness has been reduced to 4 Days, and the 50 plus parties a Day
have shrank to 10 Parties a Day...It was saddening to see, how one of
the World biggest Dance Music Convention after a run of over 30 years,
seemed to have lost it's steam probably due the greedy Venue Owners,
High Hotel Room costs as well as maybe the Music Industry peers, that
have migrated to other Places such as Amsterdam with it's booming ADE
Festival and other Location that have started to create their own Music
Oriented Festivals and so far, indeed, the EDM has had definitely also
its part on destroying the true meaning of the Music Professionals by
opting more on a Corporate Money & Business oriented way of doing
things which made the prices escalate in ways that harmed the Indie
Labels and its monikers...I hope in that sense we as a whole will come
up with solutions to renew and regenerate the amazing Conference and
fuel the interest of the masses again, who knows if we all put our
